Canes Southern Ontario’s is a development program structured around a strategic development philosophy that stems from data driven development where we use various tools throughout our practices to help make informed decisions on our players development. This process involves collecting and reviewing data from programs such as Rapsodo Pitching and Hitting, ProPlay Ai Biomechanics and Blast motion swing sensors.
What these systems do is breakdown your mechanics and metrics to a fundamental point where we can identify key areas of improvement. After review strength programs are created that target those areas in order to help the player progress. We have identified 7 key areas to focus on for the most efficient and effective results when developing elite baseball players. The most important areas being 1) Strength 2) Running Speed 3)Throwing 4) Mobility 5) Rotational Power 6) Thoracic spine rotation 7) Belief.
By investing in our players' development we believe we can help grow the sport in our region, by developing our players into high-performing assets. Our development program allows us to maximize the value of our resources and most importantly help our players get to the next level.
This is a 12 month program and you will be expected to commit to both the practice, game and tournament schudle. In the off season the team will train 3 days per week with the option for additional training. There will also be the option to partake in the Canes Canada Spring Trip in Florida. During the season the team plays 2 double headers each weekend along with a modified indoor/outdoor practice schedule.
